Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who worked as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. She is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011), the spokesperson for US Department of State (2013-15) and the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was a contributor to the election to CNN between 2017-2020. Psaki started her professional career with an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and then became the governor of Iowa. Psaki became John Kerry's deputy press secretary in 2004. Psaki was communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until 2006. Psaki was back in the political arena in 2012 and was the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 campaign. [20] Psaki was named spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11 13. [20] There was speculation she was to replace Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, in the Department of State.[21] But Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30 in 2014. She returned to the White House in 2015 as the director of communications, and she was there until the conclusion of Obama's presidency.
