Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965) is an American actor from America. Her role as the main character in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. After the seventh season, Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended August 13 on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received nominations for a Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who was Speech and Family Therapist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV who was a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian as well as of English heritage. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has said she is a part of Passover seders.
